The 2010 Washington TrendLines® Report

TrendLines®: Trends in Washington Commercial Real Estate is a collaborative publication of the real estate advisors at Delta Associates and Transwestern. This is the 13th annual issue in this reporting series, which is designed to:

  • Distill the economic and real estate trends of 2009, and
  • Shed light on pivotal forces and issues affecting the region's real estate in 2010 and beyond.

This report covers the major property types - Office, Flex/Industrial, Apartment, Condo, and Retail. It presents information and analysis on the national and regional economies, cap rates, investor sales, absorption data, rental rate trends, inventory, construction, and demand/deliveries comparisons.

The 2010 Washington TrendLines® Slide Presentation

Each year, Delta Associates and Transwestern, along with sponsors PNC Bank and Baker Tilly, honor individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to the commercial real estate industry in the Washington metropolitan area. This year our TrendSetter award was presented on February 17, 2010 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.

The 2010 Private Sector TrendSetter of the Year award was presented to Thomas E. Bozzuto, Chief Executive Officer of The Bozzuto Group.

The 2010 Public Sector TrendSetter of the Year award was presented to James E. Bennett, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

As part of the award ceremony, Gregory Leisch of Delta Associates presented a slide summary of the TrendLines® report.

The 2008 Chicago TrendLines® Slide Presentation and Report

Delta Associates and Transwestern publish a quarterly office/industrial market report for the Chicago area.
